FAQs

How use your wraps….

Beeswax wraps make a great re-usable alternative to cling film.

Using the warmth from your hands the wax will soften and become slightly sticky. Wrap and mould it around some food or a container, ideal for fruit, veg or sandwiches. It will stick to itself and not the item you are wrapping.

At higher temperatures the wax will melt back to liquid so don't microwave or put in the oven.

They are fridge and freezer safe.

How to care for your wraps….

Simply wash with cool soapy water between uses and hang to dry.

After a while they may lose some stickiness, to refresh,  pop one on greaseproof paper, on a baking tray and put in an electric oven at 150c for about 10 minutes.  Take it out of the oven and very carefully as it will be hot, lift it up at the corners and waft about for the wax to dry, hang it to dry fully for 5 minutes before use.

If you don’t have an electric oven you can put one between two sheets of greaseproof paper and use an iron to re-melt the wax.

How long will they last…..

Wraps should last around 12 months depending on use and may need refreshing every month or so.
